iLead Session 2: Enhance your Leadership Potential with the iPad

Session Overview:
The ipad is destined to reshape the way we learn but more importantly we can help teachers revolutionize learning for our students. This workshop will provide participants with the ability to integrate iPad technology into their practice in order to become a more efficient school leader. Participants will learn how to use their iPad to collect data and share instructional resources.

Objective: To provide principals with the skill and ability to use their devices as a ubiquitous tool for all organizational/administrative needs.

Class Description: The iPad has a wealth of possibilities for the education community. Find out firsthand what benefits the ipad can have for you as an administrator.
  • Explore what it means to be a mobile learner by accessing the world of iTunesU for free
  • Be prepared to digitize your observations with several educational administrative apps focused on teacher and classroom observations
  • Discover how the ipad can impact your learning with education 10 most favorite apps
  • Learn how your students would benefit from merging out of date textbooks to an online library of up to date real time text, weighing only 2 pounds

Practical Application: Principals will learn to effectively use their device as an organizational, productivity and communication tool during their day to day activities.

  • Principals will learn iPad features and uses for teachers and students.
  • Principals will explore appropriate apps for all subject areas and grade levels.
