iLead Session 3: Leading & Learning with 21st Century Tools

iLead Overview: The best way to learn the impact of 21st century tools is to use the tools, stay connected with innovative educators, and to explore educational apps that can enhance teaching and learning. In this series of workshops participants will explore exciting digital tools that have a powerful impact on teaching, learning and school administration. You will identify apps for students, teachers, and administrators -- and stay connected with educational innovators around the world.

Session Overview: In this session administrators will continue the work of previous ilead sessions by enhancing their vision of a 21st education. Participants will explore the power of Google apps to manage a 21st century learning environment, to enhance teaching and learning, and to engage students in innovative learning opportunities. Participants will continue to build upon their iPad foundation.

Course Objectives/Practical Applications:
  • To examine the power of Google Apps for educators to enhance teaching and learning.
  • To demonstrate how new technologies can be used to manage 21st century instruction: upgrade curriculum (atlas) and the importance of ongoing PD (iTunes U).
  • To share promising practices for integrating mobile technologies into their schools.
  • To integrate ISTE National Education Technology Standards into Comprehensive Education Plans & vision of a 21st century schooling.

We believe that the easiest way to change people's behavior for the better is by making it fun to do.
